Asparagus Fern Plant Care
Choose between plant only or plant and pot subscription
Light Requirements
The Asparagus fern thrives in bright, indirect sunlight which can be achieved by placing it near a window that doesn’t receive direct light or it can be placed at a distance away from a south-facing window. Ideally, you want to keep them away from bright light as their leaves will scorch and burn otherwise. If your plant’s leafy tips do become scorched, it’s best to prune these sections.
Watering Schedule
Asparagus Ferns enjoy their soil being kept moist as they will not tolerate their soil drying out. Usually, they will require a watering session once a week. However, during the winter months, it is best to water less frequently and allowing the top 2 inches of soil to dry out will prevent them from being over-hydrated.
Humidity
Asparagus Ferns originate from the warm and humid environments of Central and South Africa and Asia. So, ensuring they are kept in humid environments is important to their growth and plant health. By misting them everyday, you can recreate environments that they are acclimated to.
